S-STEM Application

The iAM NCC-HU program is an NSF (National Science Foundation) funded program for Pell-eligible students who have been accepted into one of five STEM (Biology, Computer Science, Engineering Science, Liberal Arts and Science-Math and Science, Math) AS degrees at Nassau Community College and plan to transfer to one of 25 STEM majors at Hofstra University.

The program provides scholarship support; participation in a summer undergraduate research project; support to improve math placement; membership in the iAM NCC-HU student club; as well as individualized course and program advisement, career and transfer mentoring, and student support services.

Eligibility

Nassau Community College acceptance into one of five STEM AS degrees with intent to transfer to one of 25 STEM majors at Hofstra University
Completion of the FAFSA
Proven academic potential, including a GPA of 3.0 or 80%
Submission of a short personal narrative on academic and career goals
A letter of recommendation from a science teacher
